The Kappler Genusstour
Hiking and Indulgence Right on Your Doorstep
Our establishment lies directly along the route of the Kappler Genusstour, a roughly 9 km circular hiking trail through Bühl-Kappelwindeck with a walking time of about 3 hours. The path winds through landscapes typical of the region — past orchard meadows, vineyards, and mixed forest — up to Windeck Castle, which towers high above the village. Along the way, you'll enjoy remarkable panoramic views as well as cultural landmarks such as the baroque parish church of Kappelwindeck with its historic village center, and the evocative ruins of Alt-Windeck Castle.
The trail is family-friendly and can also be walked in shorter variations — the shortest route via the Guckenweg is even suitable for strollers.
The Genusstour ("indulgence tour") takes its name from the restaurants and inns along the route that invite you to stop, relax, and enjoy. Besides our own establishment, the Rebstock Kappelwindeck, the following stops lie along the way:
